Jacob Necklace

We all face various struggles in life, whether they be related to our health, careers, relationships with others, or even our own self-perception. Sometimes, we hesitate to bring these struggles before God, fearing that we may not have enough faith or consider ourselves unworthy as Christians.

But what if God actually desires us to bring all our burdens and disappointments to Him? Just like Jacob, who wrestled with God, perhaps God eagerly awaits a deep and intimate connection with us, and He is never afraid of us bringing our problems and burdens to Him.

"So Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him till daybreak. When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man."

"Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.”

- Genesis 32:24-25, 28

The pendant's irregular shape symbolizes the socket of Jacob's hip, which was wrenched during his wrestling with God. After the wrestling match, Jacob embraced his new identity as Israel, and God bestowed blessings upon him.

May we also be blessed as we bring our true, authentic selves before God—wrestling with Him if need be. Just as Jacob experienced transformation and received God's blessings, may we find solace and strength in bringing our joys, struggles, and everything in between to our Heavenly Father.
